More Scholarships: Our Values

RON BROWN SCHOLARS PROGRAM

Due January 9th, 2022

The Ron Brown Scholar Program provides Black Scholars with the financial resources to attend some of the finest colleges and universities in the country. Upon acceptance, Scholars are each awarded $40,000 ($10,000 per year for 4 years toward educational expenses), that may be used at the college or university of their choice.

THE BLACK AMERICAN ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

Due January 31st, 2022

This flexible scholarship includes up to $10,000 per year ($5,000 per semester) of funding. Scholarship recipients are invited to re-apply for funding for up to four years. The goal is to provide a pathway to achievement for Black Americans pursuing careers in civil, mechanical, electrical, and chemical engineering. Selected candidates receive substantial assistance that is designed to close the financial gap left after the Pell Grant is used for tuition.Scholarship recipients also participate in a mentorship program designed to support their professional success.

GEORGE M. PULLMAN EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION

Due February 3rd, 2022

The George M. Pullman Educational Foundation Scholarship helps ensure that exceptionally promising Illinois students with financial need can earn a college degree without the burden of severe financial debt. The Foundation awards merit-based, need-based scholarships of up to $10,000 per year, depending on the student’s financial need. Scholars who remain in good standing are invited to renew their scholarship for up to four years of full-time undergraduate study.

WENTCHER FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

Due February 4th, 2022

The Wentcher Foundation will award 80+ university scholarships to Chicago Public High School students graduating in June 2022. Scholarships are valued at up to $10,000 per year and may be renewed, for a total of up to $40,000 over four years. Wentcher Scholarships help students pursue bachelor’s degrees at accredited, nonprofit, Title IV eligible colleges and universities located in the United States.
